Second album by Library of Babel, a long standing string trio based in Asheville NC. Our friend Patrick was able to find us a secluded location to record in Hot Springs NC in the Spring of 2018, and we had a kinetic session drawing from our established language and the text of the Sacred Harp (aka Shape Note Singing) a musical tradition that has long held fascination for all of us. Through spontaneously exploring and arranging around the text of this music, we sought to achieve its timeless and democratically held space, in the hopes that it translated into contemporary improvisation.
